Bill Pearson is a partner of the Windale Group and is located in the New York area. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, the Windale Group provides retained executive search services for consulting firms, for companies seeking general managers where knowledge of a particular industry may be less important than the ability to provide strategic leadership, for companies requiring executives or professionals for positions where a consulting background might be helpful, and for information content organizations. In addition to his role with the Windale Group, Bill is an investor and advisor in media, telecommunications, and business services.

In that capacity, Bill has worked with companies such as Veronis Suhler Stevenson to assist in operating improvements in portfolio investments; Halyard Capital to support portfolio investments; Nautic Partners, to support investments in manufactured products and business-to-business media; Starbucks to assist them in developing their media strategy; JP Morgan Capital Partners for transaction advisory services; Catalyst Investors to support media and telecommunications investment activities and to lead the start up of a television broadcast company; Chrys Capital, to help them develop new business platforms; and Wachovia Capital to support media and telecommunications investments. Related to these activities, Bill currently serves as a director of 1105 Media, and WMI, Inc.

From 1999 to 2002, Bill was chairman, president, and CEO of RadioWave, Inc. RadioWave, a Motorola spin-out, was a leader in Internet-based media technology infrastructure and services. Major investors included Motorola, Warburg Pincus, and Intel Capital, and major customers included Microsoft. From 1997 to 1999, Bill was an operating affiliate of McCown DeLeeuw & Co, Inc., a New York and California--based private equity firm with approximately $1.5 billion under management. With McCown DeLeeuw, Bill helped form and build Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. (OSI) into the second largest accounts receivable management company. Bill served as an OSI director and led strategy for the company.

From 1995 to 1997, Bill was an independent consultant and investor. During that period he formed a radio broadcasting company, Broadcasting Partners Holdings, LLC, and served as executive vice president of Prodigy Communications, Inc., leading its marketing, sales, and product development activities. From 1988 to 1995, Bill was chief financial officer and shared CEO responsibilities for Broadcasting Partners, Inc., a major radio broadcasting company. From 1982 to 1988, Bill was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, the international general management consultancy where, among other things, he developed and led the firm’s practice in consumer financial services.

Bill holds a MBA from Columbia University and a BA and MA from Wesleyan University. He serves on the boards of Young Audiences/New York, where he is a past president and treasurer; Young Audiences, Inc., where he is president; CityLore; the National Council for the Traditional Arts; the Osborn, a leading continuing care retirement community; and the Rye Nature Center. Bill is a lecturer in Economics at Harvard University and is the author and/or producer of several books, articles, and recordings.
